Anyone able to use your HD Media Player to access(and play on TV) a live video stream from the internet. I can access the contents of my hard drive but that's it.

I've done that in the past and it was just too much trouble and now that I have the media player it would just be a hew clicks away, if I can make it happen.......thanks though!

I haven't done this my self as I also own a pivos aios, (I think you can presently get it for around $50 after rebate) that with semiofficial firmware has an app for just about every live stream you can think of (movies, tv serials, justin tv). Looks like it's $70 now The thread linked here has much info regarding the unit and it is pretty easy to install the semiofficial firmware on it, it's a dog with the stock firmware. But any way I seem to remember reading that others were accomplishing this feat on their wd tvs using an application called tversity installed on the pc they were using to stream the movies etc. There are probably many other applications that will do this as well, a search for media servers that run on windows and work with the wd tv should find some answers. Another option if you own an apple tv2 would be to run xbmc on it. Or this android based unit also made by pivos, xbmc is quite viable on it
