Anyone know if there is a UPS location in Charlottetown? I have to ship some headphones back to Bose and they suggest using UPS. I checked their website, but couldn't locate anything (granted, I didn't try very hard!). Anyone know if there is a location here?

What's this?
The UPS Store 393 University Ave Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island c1a 4n4 CA Driving directions
Contact this location:
Phone: 866-235-5249 Fax: 902-367-3477
Found it in Google, but it's not listed on the UPS Store's website, it must be an old location or something

Purolator took over from McInnis? Oh crap that explains things. I always got my stuff on time with McInnis. With Purolator I got an express package delivered a week later. Called Purolator almost daily and got various excuses and a lie that they had been to my place and I was not there. When the delivery guy finally arrived he admitted he had been on vacation. Geez, what professional service.

Purolator handles them now. They are out by BJ's truck parts on Brackley Point Rd.
I hate UPS. I use DHL whenever I can. Way better service IMO.

Purolator on PEI is terrible. I had an very important work related package sent to me this past summer that was supposed to be delivered on Friday and it didn't show up. When I called customer service that evening I was told no one was there to sign for the package which was lie. I was there all day. When the driver showed up on Monday he told me that he didn't know where the road was even though its a well populated neighborhood on the north shore. His exact quote was 'How am I supposed to know where every road on PEI is?' I could have told him about these things called GPS's or Google maps but I was so shocked by this obvious ignorance all I could say was 'Its your job to know', signed for the package and walked away. I regret the fact that I didn't call his supervisor or Purlolator customer service to complain.

Big companies outbid them and then islanders lose good service.

Spudiner wrote: Who takes care of Fed-ex? FedEx does ... they have their own fleet of trucks and a depot on MacAleer Drive. They even have their own airplane bringing things in and out of Charlottetown. When Mrs. K was getting her business established, she tried Purolater but was less than satisfied, so she tried FedEx ... and they haven't dropped the ball yet.

UPS...consider this:
At one time not long ago, UPS didn't even know that there is a "Charlottetown, PEI".
I bought an item on eBay from the USA...the stunned fools shipped it to Charlottetown, Newfoundland and then bitched at me because I gave them a street address which they concluded, does not exist! After considerable time on the telephone with Ms. Hillbilly, I finally convinced her that there is indeed another Charlottetown in Canada, and that the street address I gave does exist in the Charlottetown they were supposed to ship to. Only after my parcel was returned to the USA, and the passing of several weeks...did I finally get my parcel.
Expecting this was a one-off, I again bought an eBay item that was shipped with UPS, and guess what? Newfoundland...AGAIN!
I followed up with a demand for a shipping refund and I was told that I was ineligible for a refund because I failed to provide sufficient delivery information...let's see...Full Legal name, street number, street name, apartment number, city, province, postal code, country, telephone number...was ALL on the shipping label affixed to the top of the f'n box! What more do they need? I guess maybe a map with a red line showing point 'A' to point 'B'.
My use of UPS is over...permanently.
