Good Morning!
So my boyfriend and I are seriously considering moving to PEI. I have a few questions but the main one is

When PEI gets huge snow storms and no one can get to work, do you loose those wages?

Thank you in advanced
Danielle

There is no legislation granting you the right to payment for missed shifts due to storms. If the workplace is closed, they most likely pay only salaried employees. That's often or always the case. There is a minimum payment if you show up for a scheduled shift - three hours pay.

I'm sure you can google whatever act covers employment if you don't mind a dry read...

You won't get paid if paid by the hour. Some places just count it as a vacation day (which cuts into actual vacations you want to take).
