By Leo's on University. They're not yet opened. They seem to have a website that suggests they're open in another province. Fingers are crossed that its good.

I love Indian food and have never been to an Indian restaurant that didn't have naan bread on the menu. Looking forward to paying them a visit when we move to the island in the spring.

Not sure if this is day one or not.

Oh..i wrote this last night and didn't click submit:
Really good. Portions weren't huge, but they usually aren't for most Indian restaurants I've been to. We had the Tibetan Chili Chicken and tikka masala. We chose heat level 2. The chili chicken wasn't really hot at all (but was great) and the tikka just had a nice heat to it. Not sure if i'd even consider it medium, but it was really tasty. We'll definitely be back (again and again.)

My experience was only fair at best but I do understand it was the first night. I did expect a bit of trouble though when I was ordering on the phone and it was clear to me that the young server taking my order didn't know either Indian food or the actual menu very well.

The order had to be corrected on the phone, and then again in person. Items we ordered on the phone turned out not to be available once we arrived (in fact they weren't available at all that night, even when the order was placed) and replacements were made without asking if we were ok with them - we were fine with it because we were hungry and wanted to eat. We were told the order would take 30 mins but it was closer to an hour and forty five minutes, even though only a few tables were actually eating while we waited.

In the end, the food was a mix bag in terms of what we liked. Some of the meat in the tandoor grill was overcooked to the point of being too dry to eat, though the larger chicken pieces were quite moist and tasty. The butter chicken wasn't well liked by our group, the chicken curry was not bad, and the Lamb Masala was quite nice though I ordered it hot and I would put it closer to a medium spice.

To be honest, all three of us eating were disappointed. I'll give it another try in a few weeks to see if the kinks are worked out and to try some of the other dishes.

I was going to do take out tonight but I decided to hold off.
I called on the phone earlier today and was told the menu was limited until things "settle down".
I'll wait until next week to venture out.

Well, I gave the place a chance and it will be the only one.

The portions are comically small for the price.

Butter Chicken- A few pieces of chicken in what appeared to be a sauce made from tomato paste and cream. No seasoning and any spice that may have been used was barely detectable

Tibetan Pepper Chicken- Battered and fried chicken in a sauce. Not sure what was in the sauce other than one piece of red pepper and one piece of green pepper. No distinguishable flavours otherwise.

Lamb Saag- The best dish of the three. Good flavour but like the others very mild.

Naan bread is good.

Worst of all they seem to be using Uncle Ben's instant rice instead of a good quality basmati. To me that is inexcusable in an Indian restaurant.

I will stick to Churchill's when I need my Indian fix.

Really? We've gone there twice and have been pleased. We normally get Indian from Taj Mahal in Moncton and find this just as good as Indian we've had there, Halifax, and a few other places. I do agree, the portions are small. I hope maybe you just had it on an off night. I really would like to see them do well.
