Hello!

I'm from Ottawa, and will be visiting the island in July this year. We just booked our cottage this weekend, and are so excited. It will be the first time my husband and children visit PEI, and I haven't been since I was about eleven.

We are staying near Montague, and I was just wondering what beaches or areas around there would be good to try clamming? I think my kids would get a big kick out of digging for our dinner. I remember doing this with family friends when I was in PEI as a child, and the experience still stands out in my head (well the whole island experience did...it's magical).

If you're staying in Montague, you may want to look down towards Wood Islands.

Just down the road from Rossignol Winery you will see Little Sands Wharf Road, I've dug clams down there many times in the past, pretty much all of the side roads that lead to the shore and some of the tree line roads will take you down to the water.

Enjoy Your Vacation
