Hi,
I am moving to Charlottetown in the fall and am wondering if there is some streets or neighbourhoods I should avoid. I will be attending UPEI so I don't want to be too far out of the city

Thanks so much

Depending on where you are coming from, compared to most other cities Charlottetown has no real "bad" areas.

Some will say to avoid Chestnut, Passmore, Bayfield and Douglas between queen and university but they are streets in transition and coming around.

I wouldnt worry about location too much, the city is only what 37k people our bad streets are a block or two long :)

A lot of UPEI students live on Upper Queen Street.

Just remember there is no parking on the street in the winter if you live downtown.

That changed, for the most part, this past winter. Only on days where it is posted (here on the City of Charlottetown website) that snow removal will be happening, is parking not permitted.
