This is strange. I have a book called "Studio Ceramics in Canada" by Gail Crawford that my Mother bought new in 05 for approx $50. She is gone now so I decided I'd try to sell it. A google search shows the book at various retail book stores or ceramic supply houses for $45. new. However I see used copies on Amazon.com for prices starting at $125 up to $454. !!!
Can anyone explain this?

Wow - that IS strange... I wonder if you write to the seller (maybe the one asking $450.00?) and ask, they might explain why they feel that their book is worth so much, assuming it wasn't a typo or something like that.

I tried that but Amazon [with whom I have never dealt] seems to be a bit upity. Just to ask a question you have to sign up as a buyer and record your Visa card. Not interested in that.

Update on this. Actually I found a way to ask the burning question to the sell. We will see if he answers.

Here is the answer to my question if anyone cares to read it.
Amazon automatic pricing and no sanity checks!

That actually was an interesting blog. Probably what is going on with the inflated prices you noticed Dale.

Hey, who is this???
No to the work question. Florida trips have become what they should be. Relaxation.
