Why is it Tims in Calgary can make money charging the same for a cup of coffee and paying their staff $18 an hour but they can't here on pei?

If you tried to get someone in Calgary to work at Tim's for minimum wage, you would never get anyone to work there. Here you can.

I like Robins coffee a lot more than Tim Hortons.

As for the service, I think the further you get from the downtown core, the better it gets. You could not pay me enough to work at a Robins downtown. Imagine the regulars they must get. :S Its probably impossible to keep workers at all.
