You should try the fish at the Churchill Arm's. Just don't order the two piece!

Churchill Arms Fish & Chips. AKA, Shamu and fries. HUGE pieces of fish!

went today and had the goat cheese and cranberry salad, as well as the curry vegetable soup they had as their daily soup. MMMM! Tasty!! The soup was lovely, nice curry (probably medium/mild, not 'spicy' but nice. The salad, which i had before is a great size, and i got it with chicken. Sadly, the chicken was served cold, but i didn't clarify before ordering if it was cold or hot chicken. i prefer hot, but it was still good! Served with plenty goat cheese, nuts, cranberries and a green medley, with a creamy balsamic vinegrette.

Loved it!

Good value for the buck though, chef is a MacKinnon.

Get Felicity to serve you as waitress.

Try their coconut cream pie. It comes in a pastry and is wonderful.
The other menu item that I find consistently good (hot, cooked perfectly etc.) is the steak sandwich and fries.
Decor - ok - mom/pop kind of place.
Price - mid range (I think around 11.00 for the steak sandwich)
Service - pretty good
Seems fairly busy the few times we have gone there...

We had lunch at Papa Joe's yesterday. Went for the Indian platter that they serve all day on Wednesdays.
Very good food.
Chicken vindaloo, vegetable korma, rice, naan, onion pakora.
Great flavours. Not as spicy as I like but it never is.

Papa Joes new menu is excellent, and the food is great! It's kinda like they watched an episode of Kitchen Nightmares, reduced the oversized menu, started using fresh ingredients and focused on quality instead of quantity.

Still not fine dining, but just good food, reasonably priced.

Papa Joes isn't bad in some ways, it needs more variety, a menu change now and again.I shouldn't have to tell them not to butter vegetables, and they are too liberal with salt and msg.

I usually am very strict on only getting curry at Churchill, but since we had a gift card we went for their wednesday Indian dish, and it was indeed very good. Very happy we took a chance (been years since I was last at PJ) and we'll probably be back again. Still won't beat my korma from the Churchill, but it was damn good!

went there once a few years ago and found the food just ok and the decor dated. We wanted to try Montanas but it was a 45 min wait to be seated,so off we went looking for something else, and said what the heck Ill give it another go.Wow ,what a surprise ,the inside has been updated and is so nice!!! I just dont understand why they dont do the outside ,to match the modern decor.(Faux Brick/siding and a large sign would help).Hubby and I ordered the cheeseburger, and have to say its the best I've ever had in PEI!!Service was great too.

I did find the actual look of the menu too old, needs a fresher look
