Saw a story on CTV the other day about board games where they went to a gamers meeting (think RISK, battle simulation games, vintage family board games, etc....)

Anybody here into board games? My good friend and his Dad have one of the biggest collections on PEI and I always enjoy some of their more obscure examples like Lunch Money...

I enjoy some board games. At the moment I have Monopoly, Scrabble, Cribble scrabble and I think Sorry.

I have a huge collection of broard games. In fact we won back in the srping one board game a month. Only one so far we hadn't owned which was Connect 4. Before that I think we won like 20 in another contest and I buy a new board game every year for the house. I love the trivia type games, the kids like more like Monopoly and stuff. I would say we have at least 50 board games. With everyone being so busy right now in our house hard to find time to play any!

I would love to find a group of people who would like to have an evening devoted to playing board games.

This is a pretty cool resource, it has descriptions, reviews and photos of almost any board game you can think of.

We like to play cards, especialy at night, after work, when there's nothing on the t.v,and the chores are all done. We play cards! Kind of helps to unwind for a bit and just forget about work; and it's relaxing! Instead of using bills, we toss in our change, mostly quarters. We like to play all kinds of card games, BANG!,Crazy 8's,Solitaire etc. It's fun! :)

Oh cora I love to play "bang". Especially loved it when we started with about 10 people - lots of fun. Haven't played it in a long time. :(

I'd love to get in on a 'games night'...used to do that once a month back in Alberta with our neighbours - wine, beer, bellini's, crackers & cheese, chips and a ton of boardgames :)

I think PEI has a board game club but I'm not sure.

I'll do some looking.

My collection spans the 1940's to early 1980's and with over 100 games it is difficult to decide which to play....the Arnold Palmer miniature golf course (1960's) is quite interesting. A small figure of Palmer is connected to a club shaft and by pulling the trigger, it causes Palmer to swing one of the 7 clubs in the set to hit the ball....
