After watching the TV ads, trying to order a delivery order in Charlottetown is like trying to call someone from government in Otawa and not knowing the phone number.......It's very infuriating. |

Swiss Chalet used to be a great restaurant in my books but I know a lot of the staff there and I see how badly they are treated on a very regular basis and that alone will make me never eat there again. I believe that your staff are the people who create repeat business and Swiss Chalet treats their staff with disrespect, no loyalty whatsoever and often makes it out to be their fault when really behind then is their owner company Cara reaping in millions a year. Sound fair to you to make your staff feel like they are worthless everyday? Never will I set foot through those doors again and I don't think most people would either if they really knew how bad it was. |

I agree with some of what you said. In some resturants the staff make the resturant what it is. But with places like Swiss Chalet, BK, Albert&Walters, MacDonalds, and places like that....well.... Swiss Chalet is Swiss Chalet regardless of who makes the food and who serves the food. It's all the same. Sorry but thats just the way it is I think. |

It's really weird when you call Swiss Chalet for take-out. They take your order, then they say "And for what store is that?" The person taking your order is in Toronto, or Mexico, or India, somewhere far away, anyway. Then the order is relayed to the local Swiss Chalet. Of course, if you want to ask the person on the phone how long it's going to be, or how busy it is, or how far it is from where you are to the store, well......you're just out of luck. Hotel chains use the same ploy - I remember trying to make reservations at a chain motel in New Brunswick, in Grand Falls, and the lady with a heavy Texan accent asking me "Grand Falls? What state is that in?" Hard to get a live person at the other end of the line nowadays, let alone one who's actually physically present at the place you're trying to reach. Technology run amok! |
