Two weeks ago, three of us went to Cora's for lunch. After our food was delivered, the waitress came with a plate of packaged "Quebec" maple syrup. She explained what it was and that if we used any, they were 50 cents each. Talk about a hard sell! We all felt that it was a bad idea and of course, we didn't use any of the syrup. We also felt bad for the waitress who had to do it. What are they thinking?

I don't see how this is any different than any other up-sell.

She should have offered it when she took your order. Might lower the chintzy factor.

What's next? Fancy Dijon mustard and Jiffy Peanut Butter?

it's actually always bothered me that ketchup lovers get unlimited free ketchup for their fries, while gravy lovers (like myself) have to pay high prices for a scant amount of gravy. doesn't matter where I go , I get discriminated against for being a gravy lover.

I've always wondered "what next?" i guess quebec maple syrup is.

Cora's where I once waited ,while their cordon bleu cook took almost 1/2 hour for 2 over easy eggs. The two in Dartmouth are not much better.
