What's up with KFC? apart from dangerously unhealthy crap they call food, ,and cruel and inhumane treatment of those chickens, not much.

The food is still bad for you even if you only eat it occasionally. It's full of sodium as is most fast food.

By that logic we should ban all salt shakers and not allow beef in the home.
Things are only bad if they are used in excess.
The occasional KFC meal or any other fast food meal is not bad for you.
Avocados too. Ban them. Too much fat.

You're so right Craiger.....I read a news article the other day on the same issue and apparently a lot of our fast food restaurants use way too much sodium in their food preparation....they should follow the same guide lines as food packagers and post their sodium and other Nutritional Facts.

Per 1 serving(300 g) / pour 1 plat(300 g)
Sodium / Sodium - 99%

Who's talking about banning foods? And salt shakers aren't the problem. Only 6% of the sodium we get is from a salt shaker.

If the occasional KFC meal or fast food meal wasn't bad for you, you could eat it more often without it affecting your health. Yes you're not going to get hurt if you eat a piece of KFC chicken every now and then, but the food itself is still bad for you.

And are you really comparing the fat in an avocado to the fat found in typical fast food?

Nope. The food is not bad for you.
Over consumption is what is bad for you.
Ever hear of water intoxication?
Is water bad for you? No. NOT if you drink it in moderation.
Same goes KFC and every other restaurant and food group.

fries deep fried are terrible for you.

I recently started weight watchers, and was shocked to see how bad they are for weight loss.

As an example, weight wacthers uses the point system. I currently am on 49 points per day, an order of fries from fast food is 17 points. Those same fries oven baked are 4.

1 peice of KFC chicken is 8 points. 3 pce meal, would be 41 points, on 49 points a day.....

lol, nothing like the point system to lose weight , 3 pieces of kfc takes your points for the whole day, ever since i found that out i rarely eat it.

Lots of presumably "fresh" chicken and some beef has hidden sodium in it as well.

Only way to get factory animals to taste somewhat like they are supposed to.

False. One unhealthy meal is still one unhealthy meal, whether you eat one of them or ten. The nutritional information tells me it is bad for me.

Your water arguement is simply illogical. It's like this:

Drinking a normal amount of water is good for you.
Drinking an unhealhty amount of water is bad for you.

A normal amount of water and an unhealthy amount of water are two completely different things. Yes they both involve drinking water, but is not comparable to the KFC argument. When it comes to KFC, your starting point is something "bad for you" (deep fried food) and overconsuming it (which is also bad.) With your water argument, your starting point is something good for you (H2O ie. water) and overconsuming it (which is bad for you.)

So just because the end point is the same in both examples (overconsumption is bad) the road travelled there is quite different!

Allow me to explain it in a different way. We all know that 1+4=5. In this example the sum is 5. But does that mean that if the sum is 5, then the numbers which make it must always be one and four? Alas, the answer is no. For we all know that 0+5 and 2+3 also equal 5.

So unforunately, you are wrong, and your argument is wrong. Nice try though. Here is what we know:

Deep fried foods are bad for you.
Overconsumption of deep fried foods are bad for you.
Water is good for you.
Overconsumption of water is bad for you.

That being said, I eat lots of foods that are bad for me. Because they taste good.
