I know tech deals usually go in the tech/deals section, but this is such a good deal for someone with a new canon dslr that may only have a 55 kit lens like me that I thought I should post it here. And being photo specific it won't go missed.
This 55-250mm telephoto can be had at the charlottetown location for $299. Or you can buy it at for only $199.99 with free shipping, $205.99 after handling to your door. A pretty good deal. But if you don't want to wait (amazon shipping can take some time) I have had future shop price match the amazon price minus 10% the difference for $189 plus taxes. Still $15 more than the amazon price and if that matters order it from amazon and feel safe amazon is pretty reliable, but I think the futureshop price match a pretty good deal as well and some may feel more comfortable knowing it is an easy return for 30 days if they decide they don't want it or encounter problems. Also if one has a fs card it can be had with 6 months no interest.
Any way by no means a premium lens but for a beginner with a canon camera like me might be a good cheap decision for a first telephoto. Future shop and amazon reviews are quite favorable as well.
Also one might get this 300mm telephoto for $143.29 at amazon or $129.99 after PM at future shop Though reviews seem much less favorable than for the 55-250mm lens. So if you are looking for a telephoto for your canon dslr you don't have to spend a whole lot of cash for starter telephotos. Hope someone finds this useful.
