Would you like to ride in my beautiful balloon
Would you like to ride in my beautiful balloon
We could float among the stars together, you and I
For we can fly we can fly
Up, up and away
My beautiful, my beautiful balloon
The world's a nicer place in my beautiful balloon
It wears a nicer face in my beautiful balloon
We can sing a song and sail along the silver sky
For we can fly we can fly
Up, up and away
My beautiful, my beautiful balloon

This morning, Mrs. K and I knocked another item off our bucket list when we went hot air ballooning here in Orlando (Clermont actually). The alarm went off quite early so that we could get to the assembly spot before 6am, then we set out in vans to the launch area.

There was still a morning fog as we arrived and started the preparation process.

A balloon from another company joins us as we pass over an orange orchard

Balloon #3 tries to catch up to us

After landing (coincidentally, practically in the backyard of a house we rented in Davenport back in 2007), we are put to work packing up the balloon

There wasn't enough room for everyone in the chase van, so when they asked for a couple of volunteers to ride in the gondola on the trailer to the post flight gathering spot, my hand shot up!

I've always wanted to balloon - friends of mine were married in a balloon.

Used to be a guy on the Island doing this.

Not sure if he is still around or not.
