Hi, folks.
I want to be able to stamp all of the pictures for my beer blog with the same semi-transparent image. Is there any program out there that will do this all at once? Doing it in Picnik is a bit tedious.
Thanks.

Hi! I use photoshop elements for some of mine and you can set the transparency I believe.. in my photoshop elements, its under file and process multiple files.. pretty fast...

You want to watermark images, google watermarking images for applications. I use lightroom, photoshop, and my image hosting service watermarks for me.

Can they not be easily removed anyway? Why bother?

Yeah, it's easy to remove, I've had stuff removed and used for eBay product photos for China knock offs.

In a world of social media, if you've got a photo that goes viral, might as well have the watermark there.

So; why not

Right, watermarks to prevent piracy is useless and a waste of time but if the watermark has useful contact information, some people actually will use it.

Signatures = good
Watermarks = bad and ugly

I have an old photo that was taken professionally years ago of my daughter. The photographer that took it is not only no longer in business but I believe he is out west some where. I have an idea for a gift for her 25th birthday using this picture.

My question is......how do I get rid of that "proof" marking across the center?

Normally I would go directly to the source to see if by chance he still had the original, but that will not work in this incidence.

It's happened to friends before. Who is the photographer?

Hard to track down someone who from what I understand left PEI over ten years ago heading west. What he didn't lose in bankruptcy they say his wife took.

Seriousily though......would he even have any of his old photos still? Wouldn't any hard drive he would have used back then be either obsolete or destroyed by now?

If I remember correctly his first name was Jim.....there are no markings on this proof......the copy I did but from him at the time ended up getting ruined in a flood at my daughters house.

Hmm, wondering what copy right the owners of the subjects in photos might poses? If nothing then perhaps it is time for that to change as well.

A smart photographer would have everyone sign a release which allows them to retain copyright on their work.
