I'm thinking about buying an SLR and I've mainly been considering the Canon Rebel, they're about 480$. I don't really have a reason why I'm thinking Canon, they're just the most common name, and I've been told they have the most accessories. What's everyone think of them on here? And does anyone have any pictures they could post that were taken with their Rebel?

Thanks

Unless you are a very serious amateur or pro the difference in picture quality will have MUCH more to do with your abilities and MUCH less to do with the technical specs and performance of the SLR.

There are lots of piss poor photos taken with very expensive dSLR's just check out flickr or deviantart for examples!

I'll leave the pros here to give you a good rundown of pros and cons of the various entry level dSLR's but I think you won't go wrong with a Canon.

I have a Pentax K200 but I am partial to Pentax having cut my teeth on SLR photography with an old film Pentax K1000 and then a newer Pentax P3....

Wait... didn't you just buy a 7D? Isn't that the same thing?
