Join the Indian River Festival for an early fall afternoon filled with music and an array of comforting, homemade soups on Sunday, September 13, 1-3pm. This will be the fifth year for Harvest Soupfest, a fund-raising event that has been a delicious success each year. Restaurants and chefs create soups made with fresh, local ingredients. For the price of your ticket, you can sample 4 different soups which come in 4oz servings, homemade bread and wonderful music. This year’s celebrity servers include CBC personality Matt Rainnie and Kensington-Malpeque MLA Matthew MacKay.

We have a number of great soups to choose from: carrot ginger from Samuel's Coffee House; thai clam chowder from FiveEleven West; french onion soup from PEI Lobster House (Chestnut Catering); mulligatawny from Island Stone Pub; ratatouille bisque, Indian River Festival Soup by René Hurtubise; ham and split pea soup by Family and Friends Restaurant; potato and leek soup by The Homeplace; and pumpkin soup by Lin's Gourmet Express.

Wander between our new festival pavilion where the soup will be served and St. Mary's Church where music will be performed all afternoon. Enjoy entertainment by vocalist/guitarist Brett Gallant, step dancer Kali Campbell and fiddle player Jason Campbell.

It's a truly old fashioned gathering where you can enjoy scrumptious fall flavours made with locally sourced products, time with friends and family, music and above all, you are helping us continue to bring exceptional music in an extraordinary venue!

This event takes place at historic St. Mary’s Church in Indian River; more information at http://www.indianriverfestival.com or by calling 1-866-856-3733.
