The lighting ceremonies for the Charlottetown Wintertide Festival happens this Friday night, the 24th of November. Candles will be distributed from 6:15 to about 6:30 when the crowd will begin a short walk up to Province House.

Things get rolling at the base of Great George Street (near peaks quay). The crowd will have the opportunity to get a candle to carry during the procession up Great George to the ceremonies at Province House.

Last year, there was hot chocolate and apple cider and cookies at Province House site, as well as music, candy canes.

This falls kinda under leisure in my opinion. It gets people outside for a quick walk and that's fun stuff. so I'll move it there with a shadow in PEI Talk.

There was a fantastic turnout this year.

I just really really wish there was snow. Snow makes things better.

oh god, don't even start me... the Jingle Bell Walk on Friday night at Beach Grove was horrible, as it was raining and I was carrying an umbrella... you don't carry an umbrella at Christmas hehehe
