The boston marathon just kicked off. Looks like it's going to be a tough one, with temps over 30c predicted....

There's a bunch of islanders down there, you can follow them here...

Was talking to my father and sister who both did it (Paul and Paulette Dalton) they said it was the hardest marathon they've ever done.

Congrats to them both!
I've been looking through some photos of the day, do you know what colour shirt & shorts your dad was wearing? knee socks as usual? (being faceblind, every hint helps!)
Did they run together?

Nice to see a Canadian not just win but set a world record and course record in the wheelchair division.

Downhill 5k start. Heat. Wind. Huge crowds. Heartbreak Hills at 20 mile mark. A difficult course for everyone, especially Islanders who trained through the winter with little exposure to hot conditions since last September.

For most, it is a very difficult run and one that most should just complete, not compete.

I'm honestly not sure what they had on the go, the only picture I saw was afterwards.. BIB#'s 9277 and 14729.
