Just wanted to let everyone know that I am posting all of my recipes on my new blog! I always get requests for recipes so I thought a blog would be the best way to share with friends and family.

Hope you enjoy! :)

Gosh, Thanks so much, Armetis! Haven't been on this forum for a while as I was visiting Calgary. I'm so glad you are enjoying my blog - it makes all of the effort and time worthwhile!

Howcome you're a "blog hater"? I have my favourite blogs I read all the time, and I suppose there's a few out there that I don't care for. As a new blogger myself, I'm curious as to why people are turned off from blogs...

Cheers to you!

I made your coffee cake yesterday. Delicious! :D

I cannot wait until I get a day that it's not so hot so I can turn the oven on for 4 hours and make your Slow Roasted Tomato Sauce.....I can almost smell it now.....mmmmm....

The link to her blog is in her first post above (which you should absolutely check out!), but here is the link directly to the Tomato Sauce.

Glad you enjoyed the coffee cake!

Seems like we're having lots of "not so hot" days these days! I guess they're good for staying indoors and cooking!

Hi freshstart. I just finished looking at your blog. The food pictures are beautiful. I plan on trying some of your recipes especially the pasta cheese pie. I've never seen it before and it sounds yummy. Beth's Baked Chicken is another one on my list. I also like the simplicity of the Baked Maple-Mustard Glazed Salmon. Do you plan on adding more fish recipes that don't require a lot of ingredients? I'm always on the look out for such recipes.

Thanks for posting your recipes.

I made Beth's Baked Chicken tonight, was a hit with the family so will be made again. Nice and simple recipe, the only change I made was making my own italian dressing as it is fairly simple to make and the Kraft version is extremely high in fat and sodium.

Very nice blog Rachel and those hand written recipe cards take me back to my younger days as a wanna be cook.

Unlike Armetis, I am a big fan of cooking blogs.
You should consider submitting some of your recipes to a site like http://www.foodgawker.com

Could you share your recipe for Italian dressing? I don't like the high fat and sodium in Kraft either.

This is the one I used for this. Tasted good, but I am normally not much of an italian salad dressing user so probably not the best person to comment :)

Thanks, I was just about to ask you for the link as it didn't show up on your first post. Had a look at the recipe. I like that it has everyday ingredients which I think I have on hand in my pantry. I'll try it later this week.

Hi there! Just wanted to let you know I added another fish recipe to the blog - it's really good, and super easy!

Thank you. It sounds delicious and healthy. But I do have a question.
Line 2 in the preparation says to coat pan with cooking spray and then line 3 goes on to say to add canola oil. Why do I need both?

I'm also wondering if I coat the fish in an olive oil mixture and if I use a non stick pan I shouldn't need to add any oil to the pan making it even healthier.
