I'm looking for recommendations for Christmas novels (preferably written in the last 50 years :-) It's nice to curl up by the Christmas Tree with a good book and since I might have to order them I thought it would be a good time to ask for suggestions.

Do you have a favorite Christmas book that you read every year?

I'm not sure if it's the kind of thing you're looking for, but I really enjoyed The Christmas Wedding by James Patterson.

Thanks for the recommendation! That is the type of thing I'm looking for - something written fairly recently that's set at Christmas. I haven't read that one so I'll be sure to check it out.

The last couple of years I read "The Christmas Train" by David Baldacci but thought it was time to expand my Christmas reading list.

I've been meaning to read "The Christmas Train", myself. Thanks for reminding me :D

I loved "I am half sick of shadows', by Alan Bradley.

A quirky Christmas mystery by an excellent writer.

I splurged and ordered audiobook versions of all the Christmas books everyone suggested - A Christmas Wedding, the first 4 books in the Flavia De Luce series, 4 Xmas themed Mary Higgins Clark books as well as A Dog Named Christmas and Christmas with Tucker

I made the mistake of listening to A Dog Named Christmas when I was out in public and it's a weepy one! People probably thought I was some sort of basket case or had terrible hay fever.
