Anyone read these books?

I read all 5 that are out about a year ago after I watched the TV series but I am re-reading A Storm of Swords now to get ready for season 3 to come out.

My guess is they'll end the TV show with the "Red Wedding" as the season 3 finale.

Just on book five now. Not my normal genre, but I have really enjoyed them a lot.

Same for me. Are you watching the TV show, too? Which do you prefer?

I downloaded them but haven't read any yet. Still trying to get through this month's "Ender" book...

:)

I liked Game of Thrones much more than Ender. If we hadn't done it for book club I probably wouldn't have read the 2nd one (Speaker for the Dead) but it ended up being an O.K. story overall. I felt like the author had watched a lot of Star Trek during his formative years and so was copying some story ideas, but I may be mistaken. I read his wikipedia page after I finished the book but this was another case of not liking an author very much once you find out more about him - his heavy involvement with LDS church and stance on homosexuality kind of turned me off.

Oh yes watched all the shows as well. Really well done, I like the books better, but I rarely see a movie or show that I enjoy more then the book anyway.

Really looking forward to the next season.
