I came that close to buying a Kindle when the sales clerk says.."you are aware you can only buy books through amazon.ca. Ah, no I was not. That went that deal as they didn't have any options that I was looking for in stock ...small town AB. Drove to Red Deer and bought a Kobo touch...I can get books from my local library and more up to date than the free books offered...Shakespeare, Pride and Prejudice or Anne of Green Gables, not that there's anything wrong with that. :) So far so good. Going to Cuba next Monday and don`t want a carry on bag filled with novels. Now if I could only figure out how to get the font bigger, I could actually read a book. :)

Received a Kobo Touch as a Christmas present. So far, I am enjoying it very much. And it is perfect for travelling!

This article will tell you how to change your font.

I have a Kobo Touch as well, and it's great.

I'd recommend looking into the program called Calibre (sorry, no time to find a link). It's a great program that is, imo (and many others), much better at organizing your ebook library than what Kobo gives you.

It's also terrific at converting any ebooks from one format (say .mobi which is Kindle's proprietary format) to another format (say .epub which is the format of most every other ebook).

Calibre is by far the best management and conversion software of any I have used. And it is free.

Thanks so much for the tips and ideas. It does take a bit of getting used to. I'll practise getting the font just right. When I'm laying on a deck chair on white sand reading on my new Kobo, I'll have a rum in your honor, or in my case, a beer. Cheers.

I use a Kindle with Calibre and can put any book I want on it. Not only from Amazon. :)
