Just finished this book and loved it! I give it a very rare 10 out of 10.

Reviews say:

A heart-wrenching but deeply funny and ultimately uplifting story of family, love, loyalty, and hope, The Art of Racing in the Rain is a beautifully crafted and captivating look at the wonders and absurdities of human life...as only a dog could tell it.

Has anyone else read it?

It was indeed a fascinating read.

Naturally, the tie in with motorsports appealed to me, but the story, and the way it was told, was very enjoyable.

This was amazingly well written and unlike anything I've ever read. Loved it! I agree 10/10, this is on my re-read list for sure! Every dog lover should read this one =D>

I just started this book yesterday and I'm really enjoying it so far.

I've always wondered what my dog was thinking! :P

I didn't think Enzo sounded like a dog. Probably because I read it after I'd already read "A Dog's Purpose" by W. Bruce Cameron. The dog in that book sounded like a dog and did things that my dog actually does like play "keep away" with his toys, eat garbage and dig up dead cats. I know Enzo is supposed to be different because he watches TV but would have liked him to sound more like my mental picture of what a dog should sound like.

And it starts out so sad I ended up putting it down 3 or 4 times before I actually decided to stick it out and read the whole book.

I did enjoy the book overall but after all the glowing reviews I was a bit disappointed. I did prefer "A Dog's Purpose" to this book.
