Is anyone else a Terry Pratchett fan? I was saddened to hear that he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease but it hasn't stopped him apparently. Recently both 'Unseen Academicals' and 'I shall wear midnight' were recently published.

Anyways, I think he's brilliant, lots of fun to read and very insightful about human nature.

Any other fans out there?

Yes! I love his work and I won't read my copy of Unseen Academicals until he has another one published and in my hand because I really don't want him to be done with writing.
I loved "Monstrous Regiment" and "Good Omens" by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Absolutely fun to read! It would be nice to get ahold of Nanny Ogg's recipe book sometime...
Sam Vimes is my favourite character next to the Librarian, and I'm trying to get ahold of "Going Postal" I hear it's coming out on video, so it should be great to see!

What is it about Sam Vimes? He's my favorite, too. Althought I really like Death and Lord Vetinari. You are so disciplined not to read Unseen Academicals. I've read it twice already.
My kids and I just watched 'The color of magic' and 'hogfather'. Both are recent British movies that are available from the library. Both were really good with lots of recognizable actors having a lot of fun with their roles. The girl who played Susan Sto Helit did a great job in Hogfather. My kids loved 'the death of rats'.
