I just purchased this book for my boyfriend. He watch a show on it and said he would like to read the book. Got me curious, looks like I will probably read it before him.

Has anyone here read it ?
If so, how did you like it ?

The Tibetan Book of the Dead is interesting, but if you're planning on making the plunge into Tibetan Buddhism, you might want to look into one of my personal favorite books, the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying (by Sogyal Rinpoche) - it covers the same material as the Book of the Dead, but with a lot of commentary and anecdotes that provide a lot of relevant context that you might not have otherwise.

In response to your original question, I've read it and found it interesting - but then I have a lot of strange books on my shelves...
