If you like those authours I would suggest the In Death series by J.D. Robb - which is a pen name of Nora Roberts.

Or even Nora Roberts books. I really enjoy her writing - one of my top authors.

Check out Chuck Palahniuk for a twisted fiction.
OR try Maeve Binchy for an easy read.

If you like horror, I recommend Dean Koontz's trilogy of books The prodigal son, city of night and Dead and Alive.

Try http://www.goodreads.com/
You can search out books in different genres and see how they are rated by the general public. Great way to find a good read. I use the site to keep track of what books I've already read and what I want to read next. It also has tons of book giveaways. One of my favorite sites!

If anyone is interested in a nice, light read over the holidays, I recommend the new book, "The Christmas Wedding" by James Patterson.. not his typical style of writing, instead of an action thriller, it's a book about the closeness of family :-)
I'm almost through the book, and it's really good.
