I picked up The Road by Cormac McCarthy and started reading it last night. It's a story about a man and his son walking across the country heading for the south coast after a nuclear war has burned all the land and killed all but small pockets of people and all of the wildlife.

So far it's a great book though I'm only half way through it.

Cool - glad to hear it's good. I've had it on my booklist for a little while now ...will pick it up in a couple weeks I think.

I had forgotten about that book-- read it a while back-- get ready for quite a ride-- it's a good one.

I just bought both this book and Blood Meridian today. Looking forward to starting both.

Just about halfway through this book and I'm really liking it so far. Thought that I'd give it a read after watching No Country for Old Men on the weekend

Well I finished the book tonight.
Overall, I thought that it was a good read but must admit I almost expected a bit more based on the rave reviews I've read everywhere.

Definately worth reading though
