Well, you should be, but not because you'll be a victim of 'terrorists'. It's the government that you'll have to be wary of.

If Bill C-51 passes, the state of personal freedom will be set back centuries. Arrest for something someone may do was discontinued in civilized countries hundreds of years ago.

The local mounties aren't even waiting for Bill C-51 to pass. They arrested a local UPEI student the other day.

"Police won't say if any charges are pending or talk about the allegations against Raisolsadat. He was arrested based on police suspicions that he might commit an offence related to terrorism. He was released and ordered not to leave P.E.I. or possess firearms. He must report to the RCMP every week and continue to reside in his home." -The CBC

Terrorism is defined as 'the use of fear to achieve a political goal'. Who are the real 'terrorists' in Canada today?

What does this arrest have to do with C-51?
If you want to make an argument it would be much more effective if you made a fact based argument and not a delusion conspiracy theory argument.

What this arrest shows is that bill C-51 is not necessary. We already have laws and procedures in place.
Had you said that you might have been taken seriously.

True, but the new provisions facilitate the process.

Getting back to the intended point of my post - and the definition of 'terrorism' - the real purpose of the bill is to scare more citizens into voting to return this government to power in the next election.

Considering that I voted for them last time, it leaves this old 'paleo-conservative' with a dilemma - no one I can vote for. :(

Why based on this is the NDP not an option?

Absolutely. This suspect has been under investigation for a couple of years so there is more to the story and does nothing to help your discussion.

Trolling for the sake of trolling makes it hard to engage in real debates.

Wirh that definition, the terrorists are our governments, lawmakers, news reporters, law enforcement agencies and the airlines.

With a real definition of terrorism, it is none of the above. The terrorists who we've been made terrified of don't care about political agendas. They just want to kill some people with the aim of sticking it to the rest of the people in the world who don't have the same blind hatred that they have.
