Me being a party member with the Libs,I'm finding that the CBC PEI section of the website is basically all stories about the current government which shows them in a bad, irresponsible light.
Here is the listing as of today;

1.Alzheimer's funding limbo called 'shameful'
2.Grits' warning to public sector misplaced: union
3.Concerns raised about kindergarten qualifications
4.P.E.I. sole holdout on cancer drug
5.Majority of immigrants to P.E.I. leave: report
6.P.E.I. pre-schoolers could be doing better: report

My question; What the hell is happening? Is it just being pro-active in regards to legislation or are they colossal screw ups ? I do look at some of the ministers and question why they are in the positions they are in.
But dammit, the only way we will get elected next time is if Cranemeister and her crew keep on doing what they currently keep on doing which is tread water.
This is not good karma..............

Kudos to you for your refreshing admittance of membership with the Liberal Party.

As far as your party's hopes for re-election, the sooner you stick a fork in yourself the better, because the Liberal Party is as done as a Thanksgiving Day turkey.

The sooner we get away from landslide majorities first one way then the other the better! Maybe even get one or two third party seats in there too!

We need to stop spending money we don't have, we need to demand more respect and hard work from our politicians and we need to make sure they can't make sweeping policy decisions with no experience in the area they are in charge of!

Politics is a joke!

Absolutely, big majorities breeds the ignorance and arrogance we see in this government, as we saw in the previous Tory administration.

I disagree with the sweeping policy decisions aspect of it though..I don't think these come from the politicians themselves, as most certainly aren't intelligent enough to formulate policy. The problem with policies is the influence from UNELECTED party insiders and special interests.

It's not one sided, the smirking and laughs during Currie's 2 hour filibustering type drivel about the CDP name changelast week made me want to smack someone!

We are all paying for these "adults" to act like children!

Why aren't more people enraged over this?

It should be made mandatory to watch at least one full sitting of the legislature to be able to vote....

The problem is that the Island is broke,we are spending monies that we don't have.I think it was said that the budget would not be balanced untill after 2012.It seems all politicians think spending money will win them votes. This only works till the taxpayer has to come good for it.
