Post subject:  Route2 High Speed Internet 2016 reviews opinions?

Hi I was wondering if anyone had any reviews or opinions of the Route2 internet provider in the year following their change of ownership and expansion.

When I was looking into them a year ago they had not yet come to my area but what I had heard was that the customer service and technical support where very slow to react to issues etc.

I was also wondering how they deliver the 5 mbs download in rural areas? is it through cell tower modems?

Do they actually deliver the speeds advertised etc.

I am really tired of bell being my only option and paying for speeds we do not get.

Sorry for the wall of text. thank you for any help you may provide.

Run. Run fast, run far.

Sketchy intermittent Internet with customer service that has gone downhill (if that is possible) since the sale.

I agree, stay away. The group that purchased Route2 also purchased what was left of Rurnet/ISN Wireless. While they were good to deal with on a personal level their support and technical know how was really lacking. I moved to Bell DSL - not ideal but more reliable at the end of the day than an organization who's voice mail box at the support desk was always full...

Complete trash is the answer. They have yet to fix anything properly and their owner IMO doesn't know a thing except how to steal money from hard working people. They overload their entire network to the point it's basically useless. All you will get is low intermittent speeds/drop outs and empty broken promises that it will get better. Don't even bother asking for a bill reduction They say you will get a bill reduction but at the beginning of the month it always comes out. I think every single person that is on their point to point wireless should go straight to the crtc/ccts/bbb and have them either fix it properly or get someone else to take it over.
