I have country cable (2 channels on the antenna) but would like to watch some of the NHL playoffs.

Is there anywhere decent to watch NHL games? I found a few sites but they seem riddled with pop-ups, malware, fake "upgrade your flash" icons or "membership required" ads.

Thanks.

Or if you can buy an android streamer box with kodi or xbmc, ($100 or so) you can install an iptv app and watch it on tv.
iptv on kodi

If I was doing it on pc or lap top, I would install xbmc or kodi and do my streaming via that rather than a web browser such as firefox or what have you.
Kodi for windows
Add the adon 'showbox' to kodi for streaming all your tv shows or movies.

There is also a version of showbox you can install to your phone or tablet via aptoid.

Or install showbox sstandalone application directly to windows
Haven't used showbox on windows so disclaimer "you should research it to be sure it is safe on windows. Haven't heard of any issues regarding privacy etc on android or xbmc.

Adblock is the most important. Some people use 'ghostery' though I tried it and didn't work great with adblock (both trying to do similar thing ends up slowing down browser).

Some people use flashblock to block flash or make flash 'click to view'.

Currently I use "youtube High definition" just because it will remember my 360p setting since my internet sucks and pause/preload the video so no stuttering. Otherwise I have to open youtube vid, then select 360p and then pause to wait for it to load. Can be good if you are on s#!t aliant 1.5 high speed WHICH THEY INCREASED PRICE $5 recently. Thanks ghiz for giving Aliant monopoly on rural internet so they can provide s#!t service and high prices.

$69.45 before taxes for 1.5 mbps internet? LOL I'm bending over.

Of course if I lived in a city with competition such as Charlottetown/Summerside etc I could pay $10 more for Aliant Fibreop that is 50 times faster than what I can get where I live. Aliant has no problem gouging rural Islanders and government doesn't seem to care. Then denying rural islanders internet because Aliant infrastructure sucks even though Ghiz promised high speed to every islander many years ago. Maybe they could put new lines down but they'll probably wait for more gov money to do that.
Aliant also likes to throttle me if I dare to use max bandwidth for 12+hours on my slow internet.

Sorry for rant but everytime I think of Aliant I start raging.

So I went to that site and it is asking me to instal Flash player HD.
My flash is up to date, so I'd assume this is a virus/adware software??

You can use the ShowBox app to watch TV shows online. This is a native Android app, so check this guide to run it on your PC:

ShowBox for PC

I hope it helps :)

Already mentioned, don't think they like it.
But I'm with ya, it's a great app and usually works flawlessly.

A great version of kodi that I recently discovered is TVMC. Has pretty much anything you might want. The android version works great on my android box and there is a version for windows and linux as well.

yeah, TVMC is great, everything is already pre-loaded and ready to go, it includes the most popular movie and TV sites so no finding, downloading, configuring repo's, etc. very easy to set up and use.

Now this nvidea box with android tv looks interesting and I think it will become very popular in the upcoming months. There is also the cheaper box from asus, on sale at staples presently for $89.
