How long before the crying about inhumane treatment in our jails start.
We have a real live terrorist in our Sleepy Hollow vacation home !

The dumb s#!t (remember this is the doctor who advocates shooting people for eating meat) wants to go on a hunger strike while he is there. I guess he is hoping that he'll get lots of media attention.

I think he should be fed seal flipper pie for the 22 days he will be in.

And if he does push his hunger strike then he should be out in isolation. We do have a law in Canada that bars prisoners from benefitting from their incarceration.

At least the UK banned him from entering there.
Canada should follow their example and bar him and the likes of him from entering Canada.

You know the stupid thing is that he was given the choice of 22 days in jail or a $1000 fine. He said that he would not give the Canadian Government money unless they stopped the hunt. No the guy is staging a hunger strike.

So he is losing money from his day job to sit there in jail.....dumb move for him, but he gets to keep his lousy grand. Then the hunger strike that he will be staging will save the government $$$$ by not having to feed the dummy, government wins......then by him not eating it will affect his own health so he looses again.....

So where does Vlasak win outside self promoting publicity, which he can still get just by standing on a iceflow........

That is what he wants. Publicity and just watch how much he will get.

He's certainly getting it on this thread.

Personally, he can do whatever he wants. I'll be sleeping in my own bed tonight...nice and comfy.

I don't know if this is accurate. I would assume that the meals have to be prepared for him, and then he refuse to make them, so there's likely no savings there.

Hypothetically speaking, if this was me and I was fighting his fight, I would say my time would be better spent fighting the fight on the ice instead of starving in prison.

22 by 200 is 4400... and I didn't need a calculater to figure that out.. *L*

and believe it or not.. I don't really have an opinion on this... except that I think the fella is a little off his rocker...

Hmmm....Government made the laws he is fighting against and Government is paying to keep him in jail at $200 per day (avg) or $4400 in total. This means that instead of paying a $1000 fine that could be spent toward the seal hunt he is fighting, he jail term is now draining $4400 directly from the government plus whatever lost wages he will not be taxed on for those lost days worked?

Before decrying his fight, you need to look at it from his point of view.

He is an American - one of the wrost types. His taxes have no affect on Canada.
