Interesting about who got the contract for answering the calls for the ambulance. If the government did a little more homework on that they would realize it was a poor poor choice. Very unsecure building, very unsafe as far as the setup goes for the computers themselves and amazing that our whole island will be dependant on them.

I worked there for a time... the building is as secure as your house is... the doors are always locked... and you have to ring the doorbell to get in.. as someone has to let you in... if they don't know you, you don't get in.. plain and simple... I don't see a problem with it....

 Dress it up with fresh paint and new flowerboxes it will be just fine.
Know the building also. Anything only is professional as the people who do the work.

I think I know what Shelley is referring to, since I've had occasion to be in the place. It is not so much about appearance or locked doors ... the place is a fire waiting to happen ... it was not built to safely handle the amount of electrical and electronic equipment in it. And the lack of air conditioning can't be healthy for all the electronics in the place.

Maybe things have changed since I was last there a few years ago.

Do you know what......maybe they should be given the chance to prove themselves forst before people criticize........who knows what the real workings are unless you own or manage the place.

And before anyone goes off on a high horse over potential that someone dies over their incompetence........just remember that o matter who handles those calls and where, the same thing could very easily happen...

I am close to someone that left there just recently...heard enough to say i know what im talking about.

Lets just say its even the wiring alone....the place burns down....

what then?.....the place should be made to be upgraded to a certain standard before they will take the islands life into their hands.

Just because it is mainly behind closed doors, out of the view of the public does not mean it should be ignored.

I'd be interested to see whether the building would pass an electrical code inspection.

That might not be a bad idea....

but if you're worried about security... that joint has better security than the place I work at now.. I mean.. at least the doors lock there...
