I live in Brackley Beach and I attend UPEI. Its a really nice place to live. It is about 15-20 minute drive to the university.

How are the road conditions to Charlottetown? Is it find to get to campus or do you have problems with plowing sometimes?

The campus is really easy to find. When it snows the roads get plowed. If there is heavy snowfall the roads may take a couple of hours to get plowed, but UPEI would probably be closed.

Highways 1a and 2 are about the first roads cleared. I'd be more concerned with the local road, you end up on. The further you are from the main highways, the higher the risk.

Like I said, times when one cant travel are rare. There are some smaller country roads thatare low on the plow priority list.

It'll be nice to live somewhere with snow again...and lots of it. :)

How cold can it get down to in the winter and how hot in the summer? I've looked up the averages but what about the extremes?

The fact we are a maritime area, means we get fewer extremes. Our summers are cooled by the ocean, while our winters are warmed by it.

Only unusual weather conditions produce extreme cold, here. Central Ontario is far colder. We only get a few days a year with dangerous windchills.

I take offense to those who say that Reeves Estates is "dangerous." Mind you, 20 years ago, yeah.. it was.. but it was because of the rented homes.. some people who rent don't give a crap about where they are living.. because it's not theirs... most of the homes now are owned by those who live in them.. so they have a little more pride in the neighborhood... some of the houses in here now are worth $100,000-115,000 or more...

as for drugs.. there are no more drugs here than in any other neighborhood on the Island... and I've never heard of an escort service in here...

come on guys.. even Bayfield street isn't that bad..
