Can anyone recommend a good summer camp in the Summerside or Borden area for an 8 year old?

Seems that my grandson is displaying some potential at the game and I would like to help him enhance that potential at a summer camp where he could work on his weaknesses (primarily skating).

Nothing terribly expensive (he's only 8 years old!) or lengthy (he loves to play soccer during the summer months) but something that might help him in future if his desire level remains high as he gets older.

Not sure if this is up his alley, but I just wrote an ad for the Chevrolet Safe and Fun Hockey Festival...

Hosted by Cassie Campbell and Mike Bossy, it's a 2 or 3 day weekend hockey school set up by Hockey Canada, designed to teach kids aged 5-8 how to play safe and fun hockey.

It's taking place on, I believe, June 17-19 at the CARI rink. On PEI, 100 kids will be winning a spot in the workshop. Next week, Monday to Friday, Magic 93 will be taking phone-in qualifiers, two of whcih will daily win spots in the workshop. (a total of 10 winners from Magic93)

Not sure how others can win spots.

Again, not sure if this is what you're looking for, but it probably would be a fun little workshop. Perhaps he could win a spot...??
