After another year of the same old routine... I have found out many of our Section have finally given up on the Rocket and not purchased Season tickets this year... (Count was at 31 people)

I however went a different route and got a flex pack... saves a bit of money and now we don't have to see the 9-1 beatdowns and can pick and choose our teams based on the talent coming into the civic center via visiting teams!

I think this year we are gonna see very very low attendance figures even worse then last year!!

That made me laugh out loud. They say that every year.....while I hope it's true, I won't get my hopes up.

Oh I do care, but I can't justify spending on average $4000 over the next couple months...

There is always other options, maybe a person who knows how to run a hockey team and cares about it might step in and buy a team for here after the Rocket leave town...

I found it was more fun at a sold out jr gm with 800 ppl at it which is close to the rockets attendance numbers on most nights... sure its not the same type of hockey you would see a team coming into the civic center play, but its just as good as the Rocket would play! And the crowds actually make noise  and theres no old fogie sitting behind you who will tell you to pipe down when they score...

I will contiune to support the team no matter what, its still entertaining most nights and its something to do in the winter, and with no NHL looming its going to be a long winter around the house. Get out and support your local teams.

Rocket management doesn't care, why should we? It's not our job to keep them happy but their job to keep us, their clients, happy.

Moment they move, I'd bet within 2-3 years another team would be here.
Just think: Lewiston to Summerside.

This was Trent Birt's recent status update on Facebook:
Quote:
Getting things ready to go for tomorrow morning's press conference. It is news I am sure PEI Rocket fans and Islanders alike will appreciate!

I sure hope it's good!

What makes you think Rockert Management don't care?

What other hockey team do you know of that went 10 years with a record like ours and maintaining the same guy at the helm?

There's a huge difference in not caring and incompetence.....The Leafs come to mind, but at least they can fill the arena....lol

Rocket VP of Operations Trent Birt tells me "we will not reveal a new name" at the news conference. Hmmm....
